Special needs end tactile massage......end ofcourse some adventure --> Aabenraa-->Soneborg--->Finally Aabenraa!!!

Special needs classes it was something what we were waiting for from a long time. And of course as always when we went in to the class room we felt very comfortable. I don't know how Danish teachers do that but every time and everywhere we feel so relax..like at home. Our teachers were so nice for us and teach us how to calm down pupils, how to make them more open for other, how to solve some problems even with parents. They taugh us few techniques how to speak with pupils and parents, how to organize meetings with them. The think which I liked it was seat in the "ice bake" circle. That's fantastic way to give courage to people. After words we started to learn how to do the tactile massage. . Music, candle light and relaxing touch. Very nice experience!

Another adventure has come very soon … Yesterday should be our practice day. As Jette planed, we should go to Aabenraa to school of handicap children. We went to the buss station very early and went to the right place… We thought so… But it was another adventure with Danish. We didn’t understand Danish driver that we passed Aabenraa and that’s why we went to SØNDERBORG…without money for ticket to come back. I love situations like that specially with my crazy girls M&M We were laughing but when we get of from the bus it wasn’t so funny and we were trying to find the best solution – call to Carlos and ask about money for us, hick hike or play on the street to earn some money for return ticket…and we were again laughing…because of our stupid ideas. But for lucky we had credit card and it solved our problem. So we went in to the island just to get some money form cash point !

Crazy people crazy night! Last Saturday we were very bored so we started to watch Mamma Mia. I don’t know if it was Abba’s music or just atmosphere of that night, but we started to do video clip pretending Abba Band. It was funny and we had a really grate time with Malra, Marysia & Carlos. Our operator of camera was Lilla and Anja ;) It was one of the best nights in Denmark!

As I said 2 weeks ago we went to the fjord. It was amassing and unforgettable to see snow on the beach. We were lucky because weather was perfect. We took so many photos of that place. I want to go back there again! And if you hadn’t been there you really must go!

One day we went to Kolding for a short trip. We saw old castle and Town. I liked it to. We wanted to see so many things but that week weather wasn’t to good to go for a long trips. But we were happy because we finally got bicycles!

So many things happened during this two weeks, that I don’t know what to start from… Maybe from the beginning. Last time I wrote something about trip at the seaside but on the last classes I pressed wrong command and removed everything… So I have to start again

Polish Education System in the morning and in the evning ....some fun-Snow battle

Polish Education System has changed few years ago. But it is still improving. It's very similar to Czech Republic and Hungary Education System. I want to present just a little structure of it.

The Polish educational system consists of :
Kindergarten
pre-school “0” grade 6 years of age
elementary (primary) schools
Lower secondary school
secondary schools (high school/liceum or technical grammar schools and vocational schools)
higher education (universities and other institutions)
Primary Education
Primary school lasts 6 years from ages 7-12
the academic year consists of 2 semesters, 1 September until the end of January and from February until the last Friday in June.
Primary education is divided into Stage I (grades 1-3) and Stage II (grades 4-6)
Students undertake a standardised test at the end of grade 6
Students are awarded a certificate of completion having passed the exam which is required for admission to lower secondary schools
Compulsory full-time education

Klasa zerowa (pre-school “0” grade) 6 years of age
Szkoła podstawowa (6-year primary school) 7-13 years of age
Stage 1 – integrated teaching, 7-10 years of age
Stage 2 – teaching based on separate subjects, 10-13 years of age
Gimnazjum (3-year lower secondary school) 13-16 years of age
Stage 3 – teaching based on separate subjects
Assessment, progression and qualifications :
is similar to the compulsory education;
at the end of the course, all schools organize final examinations (matura).
The matura examination, entitling pupils for admission to higher education is made up of two parts:
external written (prepared and assessed by Regional
Examination Commissions) and internal or prepared and assessed by school teachers

Poland has two million students enrolled in over 400 higher education institutions. Since its foundation, Poland has served as the geographical and cultural crossroads of Eastern and Western Europe.

Lower education-marks
1 (niedostateczny, insufficient)
2 (initially mierna, poor, later renamed dopuszczający, passing)
3 (dostateczny, sufficient)
4 (dobry, good)
5 (bardzo dobry, very good)
6 (celujący, excellent)

University-level education -marks
The university-level education uses a numeric system of grades from 2 to 5, with grades every 0.5.

2.0 - failing grade
3.0 - lowest passing grade
3.5
4.0
4.5
5.0 - highest grade

There is no 2.5 grade. 5.5 or 6.0 is sometimes given as an "exceeds expectations" grade. "3-" is occasionally (but very rarely) given as a "barely passing" grade, but for all official purposes it is equivalent to 3.0

After brain storm at school we went outside and had some fun on the snow! There must be some environmental balance :)))))))

Sunday 15 February 2009

Hello again. I had a little problem with my computer but now I'm back. So many things happen during this 2 weeks that I don't know what to start from?!Maby in the beginnig I will tell about trips which we had this week. On monday we went To Arhus. We had to wake up very early because this trip took us long time. It was still dark outside but we were to excited to think about it and bad weather outside. We went to the bus station in Haderslev and went to Kolding. Than we took train to Arhus. I was really suprised when I saw Danish train. It was different than in Poland, quiet, fast and very clean. When we arrived at the place our adventure has started :) Day before trip we divide on 3 groups. My group prepared trip to Old Town in Arhus which is called DEN GAMLE BY. When we were there each of us said few words about history, exhibitions, collections ect. After that everyone got free time to se everything in that place.
I would like to write a few interesting facts about Den Gamale By.
The Old Town is a 5-star world-class experience, and is under the patronage of Her Majesty the Queen. 75 historical houses, gardens, exhibitions, houses, shops, and wo
rkshops. The museum is a living and breathing experience of what it was like to live and work in a Danish market town, as it was in the old days. Here it is possible to experience a market town at the time of Hans Christian Andersen, where fairytale awaits just around the corner.

The Old Town is 75 historical houses from all over Denmark , 27 living rooms, chambers and kitchens, 34 workshops,10 trade stalls, shops and merchant's houses 5 historical gardens, Post office, custom house, school and theatr. Exhibitions are raelly amazing: The Danish Museum of Clocks and Watches. The largest museum of toys in Denmark Shipping, customs, textiles, furniture.

The Old Town is a state certified national museum of cultural history, organised as a private foundation.
The museum opened to the public in 1914. At that time the museum's name was The Old Mayor's House and besides this unique renaissance house the museum also consisted of a small garden pavilion and a seven-stock renaissance house, all from Aarhus, as well as a loghouse from the Kolding area.

It is the purpose of the museum to document and show the history of Danish market towns with specific reference to ways of life, trade and building culture. The museum covers the period from the rise of the market town in the early middle ages to the nineteen hundreds when the market towns were gradually replaced by industrial urban communities. The main part of the collections, however, is concentrated on the period from the fifteen hundreds to the early nineteen hundreds.
The Old Town's collections include about 1 million exhibits. Geographically, the collections cover all of Denmark with a majority of the exhibits coming from eastern Jutland.

After Old Town we went to the Cathedral. It was amazing and beautiful. We had a short walk around the cathedral and small street which are marvellous! After that we went to the Museum of art...
I have to show you this because it's difficult to explain ! Just have a look...

It was a very good day!
